Update regarding Danish Visa applications

The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) is still able to process applications for residence permits, however it is not as straight forward as usual.

Whether you are a foreign national applying from Denmark, or you are submitting your application from abroad, SIRI will be able to start processing your application, however a decision on your application cannot be made until you have had your biometrics features (facial photo and fingerprints) recorded. You are currently unable to have your biometric features recorded at SIRI for as long as the public sector in Denmark is shut down due to the coronavirus.

Normally you must have your biometric features recorded no later than 14 days after submitting your application. However, due to the extraordinary situation the deadline for having your biometric features recorded has been extended for up to 2 months. This means that you must have your biometric features recorded no later than 2 months after you submit your application for a residence permit, for an extension of a residence permit or for a permanent residence permit.

As the Danish Immigration Service and SIRI are closed, and this is also the case for many Danish diplomatic missions and visa application centres around the world, in most places it is not possible to have your biometric features recorded.  However, it is your responsibility to keep track of the situation at the place where you are currently residing and the possibility of having your biometric features recorded.

How TCP can help

You must hold a residence and work permit to reside in Denmark. TCP can assist with this. There are two types of work permits that we can apply for: The Positive List and The Pay Limit Scheme. As of 2020 your job must have a minimum annual salary of 436 000 DKK to apply for the Pay Limit Scheme.

Are you an agency, contractor or employer operating in the Danish market? TCP offer a standard payroll service, where contractors are employed on our monthly payroll and the employer has a strictly work-based relationship. Whether the contractor is on a tax ruling scheme or not, we can make sure that they pay the right amount of tax, with the right entitlements to holidays, sickness, notice and expenses.
