When did you join People2.0?
I joined People2.0 one month ago, in the middle on June, and work as a payroll specialist based in The Netherlands. Before my role at People2.0 I worked as a payroll analyst for a finance company, so I already had experience in payroll and billing to suit the role at People2.0.
Describe your role day to day? And how has it evolved?
There are certain aspects of the role that I do every day, such as payments, billing and sending invoices to employers. At 3pm every day I also have an insights task for one hour. However each day is varied depending on the emails that we receive daily and how we deal with these depends on the clients wants and needs. You have to think outside of the box.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
I think for me the most challenging part has been learning new software, as the software used at People2.0 is not something I have used before and it can just take some time to adjust and learn. However learning on the job has been the best way to pick it up and I have managed to learn quickly.
Most rewarding part of your job?
Getting compliments from colleagues on how well I am doing my job is great. It makes you feel like you know what you are doing and that you are doing right and everything is going in the right direction. I have enjoyed learning lots in my first month.
What’s something important that you’ve learned since starting your new role?
As well as learning new software which I just talked about I have also learnt how important team work is. I work with a great team and being able to learn from them has really helped me when starting this role.
Why did you chose to work for People2.0?
I liked the fact that People2.0 are a global organisation, where they really value their employees and care about them and their careers prospects. People2.0 have enabled me to further my career through payroll and billing. I really like working here and think I will be here for a long time.
What is different about working for People2.0?
I feel like I have a lot of freedom and there is no micromanagement which I like. The ability to work from home and easily communicate with my colleague on teams is great for work life balance.
What attracted you to the role itself?
The fact that the company is global, with plenty of training opportunities and ability to grow within the company really attracted me to the role.
