Interview with Client Services Executive – Ryan Benson


Meet the TCP team! This month we would like to introduce our new Client Services Executive  – Ryan Benson. Last month Ryan started at TCP Solutions, working from the head office in London.

Please talk us through a typical day at TCP?

TCP consistently provides a diversified range of clients and tasks on a daily basis with our broad operational coverage. It is this that makes the job more and more interesting every day! My work involves liaising with end clients looking to expand their business and employment capabilities around the UK and Europe, also talking to recruitment agencies and contractors seeking employment and payroll solutions.

With over 25 years’ experience and an abundance of local expertise, there are numerous people within TCP’s local offices; especially here in central London where our clients can seek the most up to date knowledge on compliant and optimal monetary solutions for their payroll and employment situations.

Tell me specifically about your job role and how you work with agencies/companies etc. to help them employ staff abroad.

As a Client Services Executive, my role is to communicate directly with clients and contractors advising, educating, and providing them with the most optimal employment and payroll solutions devoted to their needs. I specialise in providing solutions and dedicated account management to clients around Europe and specialize in the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland in particular. In my role I have to ensure I am consistently adapting to the changing legislation; surrounding employment and tax for the various countries we operate in.

For each solution I will discover the clients situation and analyse the various aspects of their employment, in order to inform them of the parameters required of a compliant solution in the country they are seeking our services. I will explain and show them an estimate/breakdown of their payroll inclusive of any special tax/expense deductions available to them to optimise their earnings. Each European/UK country has their own rules and regulations and TCP will adhere to these rules with each placement made. TCP hold all the correct licenses to employ and lend contractors to end clients in order to provide their payroll requirements. This enables our clients to reduce administrative costs, as well as simplify and centralise payments, giving them the time to focus on their respective core tasks.

Is it important for TCP to have a personal bond between the company and customers?

Most definitely. TCP prides itself on creating long term relationships with both contractors and clients simplifying their payroll and employment needs by ensuring reliability and respect. Building a bond creates a working relationship where our clients and contractors can rely on us to be informative of changing legislation and new opportunities related to them regardless of time between communication. With a strong team environment between colleagues also, we provide dedicated account management where we can communicate with a personal but business orientated approach to customers; supported by everyone involved.

What job did you do before joining TCP?

Before joining TCP I was a full time student at Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand)! I worked part time roles in both Retail Sales and Building Labouring around my time at University, until becoming a fresh Graduate and making the move from NZ to the UK almost immediately after. This is my first job using the skills attained from my degree and I couldn’t have got It better than with TCP! A company that engages both my financial and management knowledge, and is very willing to invest time in my career development.
